EAST ORLAND – Dawn Elaine Mathews-Nuttall, 50, died Dec. 6, 2009, at her residence. She was born March 24, 1959, at Misawa Air Force Base, Misawa, Japan, daughter of Lenly G. and Joan (Marshall) Mathews. Dawn was a loving, caring nurse, as well as mother and grandmother. She was a member of the U.S. Air Force, as well as the Air National Guard, Bangor, and the Massachusetts Air National Guard. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, horseback riding, as well as arts and crafts. She enjoyed walks with her dog, Luna, and loved all her pets. She is survived by her parents of Lady Lake, Fla.; her loving husband of eight years, David of East Orland; children, Sean Patrick, Jennifer Lynn, Adam James, Alex Justin Alley, Halie Starr, Naomi LeeAnna and Natasha Marie; grandchildren, Raine, Haven, Jazzlynn, Blake, Kaden and Lillian; niece and nephew, Lauren and Kevin; four cousins; and a special uncle, LaForest Mathews. Friends are invited to visit with the family 8:30-10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 11, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, with a funeral service 10 a.m. with Pastor Peter Remick officiating.
