PRESQUE ISLE – Edna E. Lovely, 86, wife of the late Tim Lovely, passed away Dec. 11, 2009, at a local health care facility. She was born Oct. 22, 1923, in Fort Fairfield, daughter of Frank and Cordelia (Segee) Holton. Edna epitomized the term “good neighbor,” when anyone in her neighborhood needed anything, she was there. She opened her home to many strangers, feeding many a lost soul a good meal, babysitting children or tending to her many pets. Edna’s family was everything to her. She loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. A pastime she enjoyed was crocheting, which she would give to family and friends or donate to charity. Edna is survived by three daughters, Constance Flaker and her husband, Philip, of Milford, Conn., Raneelia Jo Michaud of Boca Raton, Fla., and Lisa Gordon and her husband, Alan, of Presque Isle; grandchildren, Valarie Fusick, Vanessa Beckwith, Tony Gardner, Heather Haney and Joshua Gordon; great-grandchildren, Brittany Bell and Andrew Fusick; and a son-in-law, Barry Beckwith of Vernon, Conn. In addition to her husband, Tim, she was predeceased by a daughter, Simeon Beckwith; a sister, Gertrude Bell; and a brother, Mark Holton. Relatives and friends may call 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 16, at Duncan-Graves Funeral Home, 30 Church St., Presque Isle.
