BUCKS HARBOR – Kenneth L. Ingalls, 94, died Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, surrounded by his loving family at his home. He was born Dec. 12, 1915, in Bucks Harbor, to Charles W. and Angie (Thompson) Ingalls. He retired at age 80 from lobster fishing. Kenneth was a member of Machiasport Historical Society and Bucks Harbor Grange. He also enjoyed playing bingo at McDonald’s, attending the senior citizens group at Ridgeview, driving, and taking his wife of 70 years, Doris, shopping and out to eat. Kenneth was a Boston Red Sox fan, but mostly loved spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife, Doris; son, Wayne Ingalls and special friend, Bessie Moe, of Machias; daughter, Marie Wood and fiance, Joel Weaver, of Cutler; son-in-law, Harry Tucker of Mansfield Center, Conn.; nine grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, six great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter, Norma Jean Tucker; brothers, Raleigh, Newton, Howard and Arden Ingalls; sister, Avis Pettegrow; granddaughter, Donna Marie Tucker; and great-grandson, Rugger Wood Luna. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 19, at Bucks Harbor Baptist Church with Pastor Donald Wood Sr. officiating. Interment will be after at Hillside Cemetery, Bucks Harbor.
