ORNEVILLE TOWNSHIP – Heikki “Henry” A. Mannisto, 86, husband of Rebecca (Royal) Mannisto, died Dec. 18, 2009, at a Dover-Foxcroft nursing home. He was born Sept. 8, 1923, in Orneville, the son of Adam E. and Venla (Vinikka) Mannisto. Henry had worked for many years for the Bangor and Aroostook Railroad. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca of Orneville Township; two sons, Dennis L. and wife, Carol, of Mendon, N.Y., and their children, Dennis Jr. of Rochester, N.Y., and Nickolas and his wife, Jennifer and their daughter, Emma, all of Rochester, N.Y.; and David A. and wife, Barbara, of Williamsburg and son, Stephen Strout and his family; three daughters, Linda M. Hall and husband, Clifton, of Hartland, Patricia A. Robichaux of Miami Beach, Fla., and Ellen A. Lowell of San Antonio, Texas, and her son, Christopher Lowell, who is currently serving with the U.S. Navy and stationed at Fallon, Nev.; two sisters, Aune Hinton of Bowerbank and Hilda Burow of Sebec and her family; many nieces and nephews; and millions of friends. He was predeceased by three brothers, Karl, Reino and Lawrence; son David’s first wife, Esther; and a granddaughter, Starr. There will be no services at this time.
