BANGOR – Edward A. Stevens II, 78, husband of Patricia (White) Stevens and the late Beverly (Cootware) Stevens, passed away peacefully Dec. 19, 2009, at a Bangor nursing home with family and friends by his side. He was born Jan. 21, 1931, in Dexter, the son of Edward and Aletha (Ellis) Stevens. Edward was educated in Dexter schools. He worked as a mason for many years as well as a dairy and poultry farmer while raising his family. His warm smile and loving nature will be missed by all. In addition to his wife, Edward is survived by five children, Pamela Rickard and her husband, Barry, Lisa Stevens, Phyllis Knowles and her husband, Jeff, Christine Kennedy and her husband, Jack, and James Stevens and his wife, Roberta; stepchildren, Bonny Bishop and her husband, Al, Kathy Brown and her husband, Eugene, Paula Welsh and her husband, Richard, David McLaughlin and his wife, Jean, Karen McLaughlin and Stan, and Bill McLaughlin and wife, Krissy; a sister, Marion Soroka; grandchildren, Heather, Matthew, Edward, Stephen, AJ, Kristen, Ben, Amanda, Nathan, Louis, Andrea, Christy, Sarah and Daniel; as well as several great-grandchildren. Edward was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Wardwell.
