BREWER and EDDINGTON – Elden M. White, 74, husband of Margaret “Peg” M. (Hodgins) White, died Dec. 26, 2009, at a Bangor hospital. He was born in 1935, in Reed Plantation. Elden worked as a long haul truck driver, worked for Eastern Fine Paper for several years, and was a plumbing and heating installer. He is survived by his wife of Eddington; children, Richard Hammond Jr. and Debra, of Holden, Dale and his wife, Ellen, of Eddington, Gary and his fiancee, Jen, of Brewer, Steven and his wife, Rhonda, of Milford, Kevin and his wife, Lynn, of Orrington, Karen Wicket and John, Dawna Woodward and her husband, Archie, all of Bangor, and Bruce More and his wife, Debbie, of Bucksport, and Beverly Kyle of Portland; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Robert White of Stockton Springs, Eugene Jacobs of Houlton, Douglas Jacobs of Haynesville, Desmond Jacobs of Stateville, N.C., Elton Jacobs of Linneus, Heber Jacobs, Barbara Aldridge of Washington, Maine, Shirley Bickford and her husband, Gary, of Carmel, Martha Warman and her husband, Clyde, of Linneus; a very special sister, Rebecca Jones of Mars Hill; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, three children, Elden White Jr., Barbara White and David White; a grandson, Richard Hammond III; three brothers and one sister. Family and friends may visit noon-2 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 29, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer, where a service in honor of his life will begin 2 p.m. with the Rev. Robert T.
