CHERRYFIELD – Glendon B. Wilbur, 82, went to his heavenly home Jan. 14, 2010, surrounded by his loving family, at his residence. He was born Feb. 11, 1927, in Kingfield, son of Francis and Bernice Wilbur. He graduated from Stratton High School in 1945, and from Radio TV Institute. He was known best as store owner, and radio and TV repairman. He owned and operated Glen Wilbur & Sons, Cherryfield, as well as previous businesses. His children are known to have proudly bragged, “My father can fix anything!” Glen accepted Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Savior 50 years ago and served the Lord in numerous capacities in church through the years including deacon, Sunday school superintendent and teacher. He was a member of Calvary Bible Fellowship. His life verse was 1 John 5:11-12. “And this is the record that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He that hath the son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life.” Glen is sadly missed by his family, but they rejoice in knowing that he is safe in the arms of Jesus.
