BROOKSVILLE – Emma Evangeline Gray, 73, died unexpectedly Jan. 17, 2010, at her residence. She was born in Brooksville, the daughter of Fred E. and Hannah A. (Carter) Nutter. She attended Brooksville Elementary School and Brooksville High School. She was a member of World Wide Church of God. She loved singing, cooking, feeding the birds and writing in her journal every day. Emma was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by many. Emma is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Joseph R. Gray; her sons, David, and Joe and wife, Andrea, of Brooksville; her five grandchildren, Jimmy, Emily, Rebecca, Kyle and Kalen Gray; and her sister, Miriam Black of Brooksville. She was predeceased by a daughter, Vicki Jo; and four brothers. Calling hours will be 1-2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 20, at Jordan-Fernald, 141 South St., Blue Hill, where a funeral service will begin 2 p.m. with Pastor Jim Cook officiating.
