BANGOR and MIAMI – Kathy Ann Murphy, 54, passed away unexpectedly Jan. 19, 2010, in Miami. She was born in Bangor, the daughter of Louis F. Murphy and Esther Joan (Remick) Murphy Marquis. Kathy was known for her constant and inviting smile, and her personality, which touched so many during her life. She was a Harley-Davidson enthusiast and enjoyed riding with her brothers, Nelson and Foster. Surviving are her daughter, Angela Jacobs of Palm Bay, Fla.; her mother, Esther Joan Marquis of Brewer; her grandchildren, Michael and Maria of Palm Bay, Fla.; her sister, Mary Elizabeth Savage of Kenduskeag; her brothers, Timothy, Michael, Patrick, Foster and Nelson, all of Bangor and Brewer; and nieces, Carrie Savage of Kenduskeag and Ashley Murphy of Texas. She was predeceased by her father, Louis of Silver Springs, Fla. She will be remembered by a dear friend, Julie Becker. Family and friends may visit 6-9 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 24, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor, where a service honoring her life will be held 1 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Dr. James L.
