CORINTH – Wesley Earland Spinney Sr., 67, died unexpectedly Jan. 21, 2010, at his home. He was born Jan. 25, 1942, in Woodville, son of Guy A. and Minnie (Day) Spinney. Wes was born the youngest son of a family of 11 children. His school years were spent in Levant and Kenduskeag. His working career took him from gravel truck driving, to meat cutting and eventually the Department of Transportation, where he retired after 30 years. His love for his family shined through as he built their first home on Beech Grove Road, where he watched his kids grow into young adults and his love for farming shined through when the family garage soon turned into a barn. His big love was to go to Tiltons auction. He also enjoyed hunting, trapping, hauling horses to local horse shows and watching his kids ride. He also enjoyed snowmobiling trips with his family and many, many friends. Surviving are three children, Michele Nickerson and her husband, Lloyd, of Corinth, Melissa Spinney of Levant and Wesley Spinney Jr. and his girlfriend, Crystal, of Corinth; three grandsons, Randy, Zack and Blake; and three great-grandchildren. Wesley is also survived by his sisters and brothers, Emma Ashbury of New York, Ethel Mullins of Levant, Shirley Hill of Kenduskeag, Hazel Stevens of New York, Linda Theriault of Milo, Irene Clement of Kenduskeag, Sam Spinney of Charleston and Ernest Spinney of Corinth.
