MILFORD – Pearl Rose Bergeron, 92, our dear and loving mother, Nana “B”, sister, aunt and friend, died peacefully Jan. 23, 2010, at a Bangor hospital after a very brief illness. Pearl was born on Easter Sunday, April 8, 1917, in Great Works, a daughter of George and Whilamene (Paradis) Willette. She lived in the Old Town area her entire life, marrying her love, Joseph “Denny” Bergeron, Sept. 3, 1937, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Together the spent many happy years together, especially at camp on their island at Pushaw Lake. There were many happy family gatherings and never to be forgotten memories of those special times. In 1960 they built another cottage on the lake, moving there to live year round after Joseph’s retirement in 1974. They truly loved all the seasons spent at the lake. Pearl enjoyed reading and her favorite pastime was playing cards. If she couldn’t find anyone to play with, she would spend many hours happily playing solitaire – proudly declaring that she “never, ever cheated.” We will forever remember a dear, sweet lady usually overbidding her bridge hand. Well, you were our ace of trumps Mom, and we will miss you. Rest in your well-deserved, heavenly peace and look after us till we meet again. She is survived by three loving children: two beloved sons, Charlie Bergeron of Stillwater and George Bergeron and his wife, Vicki, of Milford and daughter, Ann Marie St. Louis of Milford; six beloved grandchildren, C. Jeffrey Bergeron and his wife, Darlene, of Old Town, Gregory S. Bergeron and his wife, Lebra, of Bradley, Susan J. Winchenbach and her husband, James, of Milford, Jimmy S. Bergeron of Greenbush, Michael S. Bergeron of Salt Lake City and Elizabeth S. Bergeron of Farmington; eight great-grandchildren, Charles Justin and Abigail Bergeron, Katie Bergeron, Brandon and Jared Winchenbach, Suzy, Nicole and Cathy Getan-Metcalf; two loving and special sisters, Kathleen “Kay” Anderson and her husband, Deane, of Orono and baby sister, Dora Penny of Bradley; brother-in-law, Bert Bergeron of Litchfield; many special nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband and soul mate of 58 years, Joseph “Denny” Bergeron, Nov. 19, 1995; three brothers, Arthur, Earl and infant brother, Morris Willette; sisters, Ruth Spencer, Irene Godin, Joyce Hagerman and Mary Moors; daughter-in-law, Addie Lou Bergeron; and son-in-law, Ronald “Cyc” St. Louis.
