BREWER – Elizabeth “Betty” (Baker) Lindsey, 84, passed away peacefully March 6, 2010, at a Brewer health care facility. She was born Sept. 5, 1925, in Brewer, the daughter of William G. Baker and Dorothy (Chapin) Baker. Betty enjoyed many years of marriage to the love of her life, Roger E. Lindsey, until his passing, Nov. 4, 1997. Together they enjoyed square dancing and Betty loved to sing. After Roger’s passing, Betty continued to keep her cats and dogs, which she and her late husband loved so much. Betty was predeceased by her parents; two brothers, Chapin Baker and William G. Baker Jr., U.S. Air Force; and a stepdaughter, Norma Janzen. Surviving are one stepdaughter, Yvonne Guinta; and a very special friend who helped her in her last few years, Brenda Sawyer. A special thanks to the staff of Brewer Rehabilitation and Living Center for their wonderful care of Betty. A graveside service will be held at Oak Hill Cemetery, Brewer, at a date and time to be announced in the spring. A service of Brookings-Smith, Clark-Piper Chapel, 55 South Main St., Brewer.
