BANGOR – Ellen C. Dionne, 85, wife of the late Charles W. Dionne, died Saturday, March 6, 2010, at a Brewer health care center. She was born in 1924, in Hampden, daughter of James and Regina (Ring) Toole. Ellen was a devoted homemaker to her eight sons and worked for more than 20 years as a licensed practical nurse at St. Joseph Hospital. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and was a member of the Sodality Council. Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family at their camp on Beech Hill Pond. Surviving are six sons, Joseph E. of Bangor, John A. “Beau” and his fiancee, Edie Wallace, of Dover-Foxcroft, Timothy M. and Michael E., both of Bangor, Mark W. and his wife, Diane, of Bangor and Robert T. of Bangor; five grandchildren, Jeremy, Joseph, John, Kori and Nichole Dionne; five great-grandchildren, Evan, Bridget Jakeb, Kooper and Caitlin; two brothers, Robert Toole and his wife, Gerry, and Terrence Toole and his wife, Carlene, all of Bangor; many nieces and nephews, a special niece, Elizabeth Ann Sullivan and her husband, Kevin, of Connecticut; and a brother-in-law, Walter Szerejko. She was predeceased by her husband; two sons, James C. and Charles T. Dionne; a brother-in-law, Roy F. Dionne; and sisters-in-law, Tina Kelly, Margaret Curran, Patricia Szerejko and Margaret “Peggy” Dionne. Family and friends may visit 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Burial will be at Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor.
