EASTBROOK – Morris A. Nason, 89, died March 10, 2010, at an Ellsworth hospital after a brief illness. He was born Dec. 22, 1920, in North Ellsworth, the son of Arthur L. and Edith (Piper) Nason. He was an Army veteran of World War II, serving in England and France. He worked for Maine Department of Transportation, Ellsworth, for 25 years, retiring in 1979. He is survived by his wife, Shirley (Sadler) Nason of Eastbrook; three sons, Charles Nason of Houlton, Martin Nason and his wife, Laura, of North Ellsworth and Stephen Nason of Andover, N.H.; three granddaughters, Ryanne and Erin Nason of North Ellsworth and Nicole of Pembroke, N.H.; one nephew, David Akkanen and his wife, Jane, of Ann Arbor, Mich.; and a niece, Kathy Trotochaud and her husband, Mark, of Michigamme, Mich. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two sisters, Ruby Goodwin in 1974; and Mary Frances Akkanen in 1995.
