EAGLE LAKE – Isabelle (Roy) Michaud, 94, died peacefully March 16, 2010, at her residence. She was born Aug. 21, 1915, in Frenchville, the daughter of Jerry and Mary (Michaud) Roy. Isabelle belonged to Ladies of St. Anne, a C.O.F. member and past choir member at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, all of Eagle Lake. She also belonged to A.A.R.P. She was very active in her community donating much of her time towards church functions, such as bingo, as well as working more than 10 years with the residents of Mercy Home. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by eight sons, James and his wife, Brigett, of Bristol, Conn., John and his wife, Joyce, of Bristol, Conn., Ned of Bristol, Conn., Mark and his wife, Sylvia, of Lebanon, Conn., Gilbert and his wife, Joselyn, of Bristol, Conn., Maurice and his wife, Chin, of Clarksville, Tenn., Alfred and his wife, Sharon, of Eagle Lake, and Roy and his wife, Lena, of Fort Kent; five daughters, Nancy Brion of Rancho Cardova, Calif., Mary Ann and her husband, Jim Bianchi, of Ormond Beach, Fla., Francis Linsley of Terryville, Conn., Rita Mundy of Terryville, Conn., and Alice and her husband, Jim Chamberlain, of Bristol, Conn.; 34 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren; one brother, Pat Roy of Eagle Lake; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband, Gilbert Michaud, in 1978; two sons, Lawrence, in 1976 and David, in 1981; and three brothers, George, Emile and Lawrence Roy. Friends may call 6-9 p.m. Thursday and 10-11:30 a.m. Friday until time of service at Daigle & Nadeau Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated noon Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake, with the Rev. James Nadeau officiating. Spring burial will be May 17 at the parish cemetery.
