VEAZIE – James Harold Clark Jr. passed away March 17, 2010. He was born April 8, 1937, in Bangor, the son of James Harold Clark Sr. and Helena (Flanagan) Clark. He was a graduate of John Bapst High School, attended St. Anselm’s College in New Hampshire and graduated from Husson College. Jim managed SS Kresqe and was also employed for years at the University of Maine, Orono. In recent years, he spent his summers working at the Abbe Museum, Bar Harbor. He loved history, old cars, trains and working on family genealogy. Jim will be greatly missed by his family and his close network of friends. He was predeceased by his parents; and also his great-nephew, Samuel Emerson Taylor. Surviving are his children, James III of Bangor, John and his wife, Kathryn, of South Portland and William of Portland; granddaughters, Samantha and Erin; his sister, Mary Sheila Cyr and her husband, Richard Cyr, of Lucerne; nieces, Michelle Taylor and her husband, Eric, of Dedham and Mary Colleen Matoian and boyfriend, John Parvin, of Portland; nephew, Christopher Cyr and his wife, Patricia, of East Bridgewater, Mass.; uncle, Richard Flanagan and wife, Frances, of Manchester, Conn.; many cousins, a great-niece and great-nephews, as well as many close friends. Relatives and friends are invited to call 1-4 p.m. Sunday, March 21, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, March 22, at St. Paul the Apostle, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Ohio Street, Bangor. Interment will be at Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery. The family invites relatives and friends to share conversation and refreshments after the service at the Reception Center of Brookings-Smith, 163 Center St., Bangor.
