PERHAM – Ethel Nutting, 90, passed away Saturday, April 10, 2010, while surrounded by her family at her residence. She was born March 18, 1920, in Caribou, daughter of Simon and Grace (Little) Anderson. Ethel worked hard on the family farm along her husband Henry and together they had a wonderful life. She enjoyed ham radio and made many friends through it. Upon their retirement, they traveled all over the country, and missed only the state of Hawaii. Ethel was a member of Dunntown Advent Christian Church and served as a deaconess, Sunday school teacher and youth leader. In addition to her husband, Henry of Perham, she is survived by a daughter, Joyce Barker of Perham; five grandchildren, Carol Blackstone, Bruce Barker, Brett Barker, Debra Getty and Scott Barker; nine great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind three bro-thers, Gilbert Anderson of Millinocket, Merrill Anderson and his wife, Delila, of Caribou and Simon Elbridge Anderson of Berwick; two sisters, Betty Tib-betts of Millinocket and Zelda Wilcox and her husband, Geo-rge, of Westbrook; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three brothers, Earl, Chester and Ernest Ander-son; and four sisters, Levercie Gamblin, Gertrude York, Lulu Dyer and Marietta Sullivan. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday, April 13, at Dunn-town Advent Christian Church, where funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. George McLaughlin officiating. Interment will take place immediately after the service at Fairview Cemetery. After the committal a reception will be held in the church fellowship hall.
