BROOKLYN PARK, Minn., and BANGOR – Jason W. Rand, 38, beloved son of Rosemarie Roberts, died unexpectedly April 29, 2010, at his home. He was born July 26, 1971, in Bangor. Jason attended schools in Iowa, Maine and Minnesota. He served six years in the Army National Guard and was self-employed as a building contractor in Minnesota. He was the proud father of his only child, Aiden; and is survived by his mother and stepfather, Rosemarie and Glen Roberts of Florida; his nephew, Landon Ludke Rand; the mother of his son, Darcy Rand; his maternal grandmother, Sonja Bernier of Maine; his aunt, Evie Martin of Texas; many aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his brother, Kyle; his cousins, Joshua Nutt and Todd Martin; his aunt, Shirley Carrier; his uncle, Bob Martin; and his paternal grandmother, Irene Rand. A memorial service is to be held May 6 in Minnesota.
