SANGERVILLE – Evelyn Jones, 89, passed away May 7, 2010, at her home. She was born Sept. 13, 1920, in Brockton, Mass. Evelyn was a stay-at-home mom, who concentrated on her family. She enjoyed painting, quilting, sewing and knitting, and gifted those crafts to her offspring and their families. She enjoyed spending time at camp at Moosehead Lake. She was a talented lady, loved by all. She was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, Roy Burton Jones, who was also born in Brockton, Mass. They moved to Sangerville in 1982. She was also predeceased by her mother, Grace Evelyn (Ford) Bonney; her father, Charles Ellery Bonney; her brothers, Omer Bonney and Howard Bonney; and her sister, Marion (Bonney) Ames of Oregon. She is survived by her sisters, Louise O’Toole and Claire and Joseph Bettencourt; a brother, Stuart Bonney of Oregon; her children, Bruce F. and Esther M. Jones of Sangerville, Marilyn E. Jones of Guilford, Meredith E. and Stephen E. Perkins of Sangerville and Marjorie E. and David E. Dewhurst of East Bridgewater, Mass.; her grandchildren, Sandra J. and Robert W. Kelly, Christine A. Gomes, Karen M. Bruce, Barbara J. and Stephen Clark, Stephen C. Perkins, Gregory D. Dewhurst, Jeffrey E. and Lauri Dewhurst, Bruce F. and Kelly L. Jones II, Burton L. Jones, David B. Hanna, and Michael S. and Jennifer Hanna; 20 great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. Special thanks to all of the caregivers who cared for her during the last two years, and the Community Health nurses and home health aides who cared for her. There will be no formal funeral service.
