EDDINGTON – Beverly A. (Goff) Ford Treadwell, 73, went to be with the Lord June 2, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1937, in Biloxi, Miss., daughter of Layette and Ethel Marie (Newman) Goff. Beverly attended Biloxi, Miss., schools and received her post-secondary education at Perkins College. After graduation, she met and married Leonard H. Ford III. They traveled worldwide with the military, eventually settling in Eddington Village with their four sons. After the death of Leonard, she continued to reside in Eddington and later married Arthur E. Treadwell. She was employed at the Holbrook school for more than 15 years, where she will be remembered for her cooking skills. Beverly was an active member of East Eddington Community Church, where she served on numerous boards and committees. She was a very faithful servant of her Lord. For the past 37 years, Beverly was a most devoted and loving wife to Arthur. Together they enjoyed the camp at Horseshoe Pond, traveling to the South, visiting relatives and many other activities. Surviving in addition to her loving husband, Arthur E. Treadwell of Eddington, are five children, Jason Treadwell and his wife, Vicky, of Florida, James Treadwell of Eddington, Leonard “Sam” Ford IV and his wife, Jackie, of Holden, Neil “Spike” Ford and his wife, Judy, of New York, and Steven Ford and his wife, Catherine, of Bangor; 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jeanell Montgomery of Florida and Pam Mabry of Mississippi; one brother, Kenneth Goff of Mississippi; nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her first husband, Leonard H. Ford III; a son, Joel P. Ford; a brother and two sisters. A celebration of her life will be held 5 p.m. Saturday, June 5, at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center St., Bangor, with the Rev. Roger Tracy, pastor of East Eddington Community Church, officiating.
