NEWBURGH – Larry J. Jordan, 63, beloved husband of Margaret Jordan passed away June 3, 2010, at a Bangor hospital after complications from heart surgery. Larry was born Aug. 24, 1946, in Bangor, the son of Roland Jordan and Roberta Jordan Blaisdell, and the stepson of Frank E. Blaisdell. Larry was a 1964 graduate of Hampden Academy. He married the love of his life, Margaret M. Bossie, Aug. 20, 1966. Larry served in the U.S. Navy from 1965-1971, which included two tours in Vietnam. He was a well-known professional truck driver and at one time was an owner/operator. He was most recently working as a truck driver for Central Maine Transport, where he worked for the past 15 years. When not working, Larry loved watching NASCAR and spending time at the lake on his pontoon boat. Larry is survived by his wife of 44 years; his beautiful daughter, Jodi A. Jordan; his son and best friend, Randy A. Jordan; his sister, Brenda Blaisdell and her husband, Doug; brother, Brent Jordan and wife, Gloria; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins, including a special cousin, George Long. He was predeceased by his parents; and a sister, Sandra. Family and friends may visit noon-2 p.m. Tuesday, June 8, at Hampden-Gilpatrick Funeral Home, 45 Western Ave., Hampden. Out of respect for Larry and his family, please dress casual for this occasion. A private graveside service will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery, Bangor.
