EAGLE LAKE – Edna (Saucier) Michaud, 100, died peacefully June 4, 2010, at an Eagle Lake health care facility. She was born May 1, 1910, in Eagle Lake, the daughter of John and Modeste (Paradis) Saucier. Edna was a life member of Ladies of St. Anne, Eagle Lake. Her favorite pastimes were knitting and crocheting. She is survived by 11 children, Lila and her husband, Roland Fournier, of Winterville, Leonel Michaud and his wife, Jackie, of Jacksonville, Vt., Leonard Michaud and his wife, Yvette, of Plymouth, Conn., Legourie “Bee” Michaud of New Port Richey, Fla., Herman Michaud and his wife, Marylou, of Bristol, Conn., Florence and her husband, Fernand Simard, of Eagle Lake, Joe Claude Michaud and his wife, Theresa, of Winterville, Louis Michaud and his wife, Leona, of Eagle Lake, Paul Michaud and his wife, Muriel, of Fort Kent, Ronald Michaud and his wife, Mona, of Madawaska, and Orese and her husband, Paul Dube, of Eagle Lake; three sisters, Ida, Angeline and Priscille; one brother, Legourie; 49 grandchildren, 88 great-grandchildren, 30 great-great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her husband, Albert Michaud, who died in 1986, she was predeceased by a daughter, Nancy Michaud; a son, David Michaud; one daughter-in-law, Betty Michaud; six brothers and five sisters. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Monday and 8 a.m. until the time of departure Tuesday at Daigle Funeral Home, Fort Kent. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Eagle Lake. Committal services will be afterward at the parish cemetery.
