EAST HODGDON – Jacqueline A. Pierce, 59, went home to be with Jesus June 4, 2010, after a long illness. She was born March 9, 1951, in Bangor, the daughter of Percy and Lois (Benjamin) Crone. She enjoyed life, bowling, crocheting, drawing, Hummer vehicles and her dachshunds, especially Krayonz and Aimmee. She was a penguin collector and a Sunday school teacher, and enjoyed the Red Sox. She traveled with various gospel groups singing in Eastern Maine and Canada. She also sang in choirs at Full Gospel Assembly Church and Military Street Baptist Church. She directed several musicals at Calvary Pentecostal, Monticello. Her favorite group was the Statler Brothers, but the thing she enjoyed the most was seeing her grandchildren, who now live in Bangor. We will miss you wife, mother, gumma, sister, aunt and niece. We will see you on the other side in heaven. In addition to her mother and stepfather, Lois and Ashman Hooper of Houlton, she is survived by her husband of 35 years, Wayne Pierce of East Hodgdon; one son, Jonathan Wayne and his wife, Marianne Pierce, of East Hodgdon; a daughter, Christina and her husband, Kirt Lorom, of Bangor; two grandchildren, Zechariah Matthew Lee Lorom and Jedaiah James Wayne Lorom, both of Bangor; and one brother, Delmont Benjamin of New York. Friends may call 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at Military Street Baptist Church with funeral services 11 a.m. with the Rev. Randall Burns officiating. Interment will be at Hodgdon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Bowers Funeral Home, P.O. Box 579, Houlton, ME 04730.
