MARCELLA I. LEVASSEUR Levasseur, 88, died June 9, 2010, at a Van Buren health care facility. She was born Jan. 16, 1922, in Van Buren, the daughter of Jean and Alice (Madore) Laplante. Marcella is survived by three sons, John Levasseur and his wife, Linda, of Fredericksburg, Va., Paul Levasseur and his wife, Cindy, of Bangor, and Peter Levasseur and his wife, Leah, of Van Buren; two brothers, Roger Laplante of Marshfield, Mass., and John Laplante Jr. of Van Buren; four sisters, Edna Violette and Alice Morrow, both of Van Buren, Jeanne D’Arc Reynolds of Honolulu, and Claire Porter of Phoenix; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. In addition to her parents, Marcella was predeceased by her husband, Louis Levasseur, in 1986; one son, Philip Levasseur, in 1993; a granddaughter, Alison Levasseur, in 1990; three brothers, Wilfred, Charles and Gilbert Laplante; and by two sisters, Simone Soucy and Agnes Violette. Relatives and friends may call 9 a.m. until the time of service Saturday at Ouellette-Thibault Funeral Home, 118 High St., Van Buren. A funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bruno-St. Remi Catholic Church. Committal service and interment will be at the parish cemetery.
