CORINTH – Karen Jo Lambert, 55, the wife of Frank Lambert, died June 15, 2010, at her residence after a long battle with cancer. She was born Nov. 20, 1954, in Milo, the daughter of William and Amy Adelaide (Mott) Long. She was a former employee of Dexter Shoe, Milo, for many years. She then went to work at Eastern Maine Medical Center as a medical coder for 15 years. She was always a hard worker and will be missed by many friends. Karen enjoyed gardening, shopping, making jewelry with beads, and collecting stones and rocks. She loved to shop, especially at The Christmas Tree Shoppe. She loved her grandchildren. They always brought a smile to her face. She touched everyone in a different way. She had a good sense of humor and always had a story to tell. She made a lot of people laugh. Surviving, in addition to her husband of Corinth and her daughter, Jolene French and her boyfriend, Trevor Trask, of Levant, are her grandchildren, Kaleb, Blake, Cassidy, Felycia, Kaylee and Dawson; a stepfather, Wallace Blowers and his wife, Mary; a stepson, William Lambert and his wife, Victoria; and a daughter-in-law, Denise French and boyfriend, Rob Grabowski, who helped provide special care to Karen. She is also survived by four sisters, Phyllis Randall and husband, Mac, of Bradford, Barbara Turner of LaGrange, Loretta Reed and husband, Tom, of New Hampshire, and Kathy Herbest and husband, Ralph “Mickey,” of Milo. Karen was predeceased by her father, William Long; her mother, Amy Adelaide (Mott) Long Blowers; her only son, James French Jr. “J.J.”; and a brother, John Long. The family thanks CancerCare of Maine and especially Dr. Eric Hartz for the wonderful care they provided to Karen during her illness. She will be missed by special friends, Joyce, Kaneen, Lisa, Pam, Connie and Laurie; and a special cousin, Carol King. Graveside funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at Corinthian Cemetery, Corinth, with Dalton Dunfee officiating.
