DEWITT, N.Y. – Victor H. Pooler Jr., 86, passed away peacefully June 7, 2010, after a long bout with cancer. The oldest son of Victor H. and Mary C. Pooler, Vic was born Feb. 10, 1924, in South Brewer. Vic is survived by his sons, David and Nancy of Slidell, La., Steven of Baldwinsville, N.Y., and Kevin and Elizabeth of Bryn Mawr, Pa.; and grandchildren, Michael, Amanda, Christian, Danielle and Richard Pooler. He is also survived by his brother, Ronald and Joan Pooler; his sister, Marilyn and Francis Braski; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife of 57 years, Anne; his son, Thomas; and his brothers, Robert “Fish” of Orrington and Walter of Portland. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Monday, June 21, at Fairchild and Meech DeWitt Chapel, 3690 Erie Blvd. East, DeWitt, N.Y. A Mass of Christian burial will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, at Holy Cross Church, DeWitt, N.Y. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
