SMYRNA – Gerald L. Drew, 76, died June 22, 2010, at his home. He was born Aug. 2, 1933, in Smyrna Mills, the son of Herbert and Frances (Bragg) Drew. Gerald was a man of many trades, but was best known for his keen ability to buy and sell real estate. He was a people person, but most of all he enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren. Gerald is survived by his wife, Margaret (Day) Drew of Smyrna; seven sons, Michael of Arizona, Peter of Massachusetts, Stephen of Ludlow, Jonathan of Monticello, David of Linneus, Russell of Arizona and Christopher of Mars Hill; four daughters, Dianna Patterson of South China, Susanna Rose of South Carolina, Leann Drew of Stockholm and Andrea Drew of California; 13 grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Stitham of Massachusetts; special nephew, Frank Stitham; several nieces and nephews. Friends may call 11 a.m. until the time of the service 1 p.m. Saturday at Dunn Funeral Home.
