DEXTER and VEAZIE – Kenneth A. Paradis, 65, went home to be with the Lord June 26, 2010, after a courageous battle with kidney disease and cancer. He was born Sept. 21, 1944, in Lincoln, the son of Andrew and Hazel Paradis. He was a graduate of Howland High School, Class of 1962. Kenneth married Elizabeth (Woodbury) Richardson March 10, 1972, in Dexter. He worked as a tanner at Irving Tanning, Hartland, for more than 20 years. He was a very talented carpenter and cabinetmaker and enjoyed making many projects for family and friends throughout the years. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Betty Paradis of Veazie; one daughter, Cathy Jo of Bangor; four sons, Ronnie and his wife, Kellie, of Corinna, David and his wife, Lisa, of Parkman, Steven and his wife, Colleen, of Newport and Robbie of New Hampshire; one adopted son, Brian; eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren; one sister and her husband, Karen and Andre Parent of Old Town; a special aunt, Louise Dyer; several other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call 1-2 p.m. Thursday, July 1, at Brown Funeral Home and Cremation Service Center, 34 High St., Newport, where memorial services will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday with Pastor Obie Walker officiating.
