BRADFORD – Grace Pauline Wade, 86, passed away July 10, 2010, at a Bangor Nursing home. She was born March 13, 1924, in Lowell, Mass., the only child of Paul and Gertrude (Dalton) Roberts. She graduated from Hartland Academy, Class of 1944. On May 27, 1944, she married the love of her life, Chester Wade. Grace was a retired employee of Viner Shoe, where she enjoyed working alongside her daughter and many friends. She enjoyed traveling to the coast of Maine, playing cards, and caring for her home and yard. She also enjoyed watching the Lawrence Welk Show whenever she could. Grace was a life member of National Grange Patrons of Husbandry. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband in 1977; and her daughter, Carolyn Faucher, in 1988. Surviving are two grandchildren, Melanie Clisham and her husband, Steven, of Winterport and Glenn DeWitt and his fiancee, Cindy Keats, of Auburn; and three great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Dylan and Scott. Family and friends may visit 1 p.m. Tuesday until the time of services at Thompson Funeral Home, 17 Hudson Road, Corinth. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Donald Booker officiating. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery, Bradford.
