TAUNTON, Mass. – Royce C. Sleeper, 43, died July 8, 2010, with his loving family by his side at his home. Born in Millinocket, and formerly of Crystal and Sherman Mills, Royce was the son of Leo “Gove” Sleeper of Sherman Mills and the late Marilyn (Hysom) O’Lalor. Royce was the husband of Jennifer (Moore) Sleeper of Taunton, Mass. He was educated at Katahdin High School, Class of 1984. Royce was employed with Clark, Cutler & McDermott Textile Co., Franklin, Mass., and before that, Newcomb Farms Restaurant, Milton, Mass. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, softball, woodworking, sports with his son, Rocky, and long walks with his daughter, Gabby. He was the loving father of Royce C. “Rocky” Sleeper and Gabrielle M. Sleeper, both of Taunton, Mass.; brother of Derrell Hysom of Maine, Leland Stetson of Alaska, Holly Sheffield of Taunton, Mass., Crystal Eroglu of Randolph, Mass., Gloria Skirvin of Connecticut, Kathy Skiba of Washington, Christopher Sleeper of Gardner, Mass., Leo Sleeper of Maine, Mary Farist of Georgia and the late Olin Hysom; and uncle of many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. A service will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 17, at O’Keefe-Wade Funeral Home, 70 Washington St., Taunton, Mass. Calling hours will be 4-8 p.m. Friday. Interment will be private.
