CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Ryan Patrick Bouchard passed away July 12, 2010. He was born Sept. 12, 1981, in Fort Kent. Always a diligent, hard worker, he achieved Eagle Scout status at age 16. He was a member of Order of the Arrow. He was also a third degree member of Fort Kent Knights of Columbus, Council No. 1934. He was a graduate of Fort Kent Community High School and went on to receive a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Maine, Orono, as a member of the Chi Epsilon engineering honor society. He then obtained a master’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. He obtained his professional engineering license in spring 2009. Ryan lived in Charlotte, N.C., and worked for the engineering firm of Black & Veatch. He is survived by his loving wife of three years, Nicole Bartlett Bouchard, originally of Bridgewater; one daughter, Elizabeth Mary; and one unborn child. He is also survived by his mother and father, Pauline and Richard of Fort Kent; and his brother and sister-in-law, Nathan and Kimberly, who reside in Griffin, Ga.; his paternal grandparents, Ronald and Candide Bouchard of St. David; and a host of loving aunts, uncles and cousins. He was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Patrick and Therese (Bouchard) Pelletier; and an uncle, Paul Pelletier. A memorial prayer service will be held 3 p.m. Tuesday, July 20, with visitation after until 5 p.m. at McEwen Funeral Service, Mint Hill, N.C.
