She was wife of the late David William Stone, to whom she was married in December 1939, and entered into eternal rest Aug. 28, 1984. Not only was she “Gram” to her beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren, but she was the “adopted Gram” to many friends of the family and members of the community. She will be lovingly remembered as a wonderful card sender who never forgot the birthday of a family member or friend. A woman of independence and tireless energy, she was delivering Meals on Wheels in the Searsport area well into her 80s. Among her favorite pastimes were those spent gardening, playing cards, cooking for family and friends and the memories created at the family cottage on Moosehead Lake.
