FRANKLIN – Jeannette A. Anderson, 78, died July 28, 2010, at an Ellsworth health care facility. She was born Dec. 31, 1931, in Sullivan, daughter of Cecil and Mabel E. (Strout) Whalen. Jeannette graduated from Sullivan High School and married Donald Anderson, in 1950, and they shared 60 wonderful years together in Franklin. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was an avid bowler and won several state championships. She also enjoyed Beano. Jeannette was a member of Franklin – Schoodic Grange for 50 years. Jeannette is survived by her loving husband, Donald of Franklin; son, J.R. Anderson and wife, Tina, of Franklin; daughters, Donna Abbott and husband, Brian, of Franklin, and Diana Kokoska and husband, John, of Bangor; seven grandchildren, C.J., Matthew, Shannon and Jenny Abbott, John Kokoska, Jodi Krippel and Cassie Anderson; seven great-grandchildren, three sisters, four brothers, many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a grandson, Benjamin Abbott; five sisters and six brothers. Calling hours will be held 1-2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 1, at Jordan-Fernald, 113 Franklin St., Ellsworth, where a funeral service will be held 2 p.m. with Pastor Steven Sobel officiating.
