FITCHBURG, Mass., and BANGOR – Paul C. Blanchard Jr. died peacefully Friday morning, July 30, 2010, at his home in Fitchburg, Mass. He was born April 13, 1941, in Brewer. Paul was predeceased by his father, Paul C. Blanchard Sr.; his mother, Ethel Blanchard; and his brother, Sherwood Blanchard. He is survived by his two sisters, Joyce B. Elaine and Teresa Daley; his wife, Patricia (Tripp) Blanchard; son, Steven Blanchard and wife, Deborah, and grandsons, Nathaniel and Justin Blanchard; son, Christopher Blanchard and wife, Sandra, and grandson, Jayden; and two daughters, Jennifer Crown and husband, Aaron, and Heather Blanchard and husband, Eric. A celebration of life will take place 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at the home of Christopher Blanchard in East Corinth. Friends and family are welcome. Paul loved a few and tolerated many. In lieu of flowers, donations may be given to National Park Service.
