EAST MILLINOCKET and BANGOR – Theresa Hamm, 67, passed Aug. 4, 2010, after a 61/2 year valiant battle with breast cancer, surrounded by her family at her home. Theresa was born July 8, 1943, in Wallagrass, the 13th child of Honore and Anna (Caron) Saucier. She graduated from St. Martin of Tours Catholic School, Millinocket, Class of 1961. Theresa was a member of Red Hat Society, an avid reader and loved to spend time with her grandchildren. In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her husband, Richard E. Hamm Sr.; and a grandchild, Chad M. Hussey. She is survived by her children, Deborah A. Hussey and husband, Kim, of Milo, Diana L. Hamm of Bangor, and Richard E. Hamm Jr. of Portland; five grandchildren, Luke Hussey of Brownville, Nathaniel B. Hussey of Charleston, Jennifer R. Hussey, Benjamin Alex Hamm and Taylor M. Hamm, all of Bangor; two great-grandchildren, Ciara R. Hussey and Blake N. Hussey; siblings, Carmen Dubay of South Windsor, Conn., Rosa Bouchard of Millinocket, Norman Saucier and wife, Edna, of Presque Isle, Gorman “Whittie” Saucier and wife, Frances “Mickey,” of Wallagrass, Alve “Babe” Saucier of Eagle Lake, Leo Saucier and wife, Zelma, of Millinocket, and Joanne Farmer and husband, Robert, of East Millinocket; sisters-in-law, Madeline Saucier of Presque Isle, Shirley Hamm of Everett, Wash., Mary Elizabeth Hamm of Pinellas Park, Fla., and Bobby Jean Buck of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and brothers-in-law, Michael Hamm of Sarasota, Fla., James Hamm of Bradenton, Fla., and William Hamm of Pinellas Park, Fla. She was also predeceased by siblings, Adrian Saucier, Harold Saucier, Aldrick “Dick” Saucier, Lorraine Voisine and Claudette Dube; brothers-in-law, Robert Hamm, Alton “Tookie” Hamm and Chester Hamm; and sister-in-law, Joan Locke. The family extends their gratitude to the CancerCare of Maine and Community Health and Counseling Services staffs for the wonderful care provided for Theresa. Friends may visit with the family 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 6, at Lamson Funeral Home, 17 Western Ave., East Millinocket, with the rosary to be said 7:30 p.m. by Daughters of Isabella. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7, at St. Peter’s Catholic Church of Christ the Divine Mercy Parish, 58 Cedar St., East Millinocket, with the Rev.
