BANGOR, HAMPDEN and DOVER, N.H. – Dorothea Symonds Tyler, 90, died Monday, Aug. 2, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter’s home in Dover, N.H. Dorothea was born March 29, 1920, in Lisbon, the daughter of William and Marion (Jordan) Ricker. Dorothea is survived by her six children and their spouses, Leighton and Carol Symonds of Laconia, N.H., Anne Tucker of Dover, N.H., David and Margaret Symonds of Litchfield, N.H., Madelyn and Anatole Paquette of Center Harbor, N.H., Jonathan and Sally Symonds of Bangor, and Wendy Davis of Concord, N.H.; 14 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service to honor Dorothea’s life 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 14, at The Great Island Common, 301 Wentworth Road, Route 1-B, New Castle, N.H. Burial will be at Lisbon Cemetery, Lisbon, at a future date. In Dorothea’s memory donations may be made to National Alliance on Mental Illness, 15 Green St., Concord, NH 03301-4020.
