WILLIMANTIC – Richard B. Woodall, 77, died Aug. 6, 2010, in Belleville, N.Y., as a result of a boating accident. He was born Nov. 18, 1932, in Cape Vincent, N.Y., son of Dewel and Sadie Woodall. He attended school in Belleville, N.Y., and at age 17, Dick joined the U.S. Air Force. A career service man, he served in the Korean War and the Vietnam War, retiring in 1971, after 21 years. After retirement he and his wife, Ellen, moved to Willimantic. He was an active member of Mount Kineo Masonic Lodge, Guilford, Anah Temple Shrine, Bangor, and was a mini-biker for many years. Dick was also an active member of Willimantic Community Church, Fellowship of God Church, Ocala, Fla., and Conner-Trafton American Legion Post, Guilford. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Ellen (Van Amber) Woodall of Willimantic; a son, Lawrence Lewis of Florida; two daughters, Mary Tomlin and her husband, Dale, of Georgia, and Lisa Fellers and her husband, Gary, of South Carolina; four grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 13, at Crosby & Neal, 21 Oak St., Guilford, with the Rev. Lloyd Rozelle officiating.
