MERRILL – Zelma Anderson Reed Lougee, 101, died Aug. 11, 2010, at Houlton Regional Hospital. Zem was born July 20, 1909, in Merrill, daughter of John L. and Celia (Thompson) Anderson. A lifelong resident of Merrill, she was a member of Smyrna Mills Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star. Zem is survived by her daughter, Brenda Reed Thompson of Merrill; her granddaughter, Michelle Thompson Calbi of Westerly, R.I.; two great-granddaughters, Lauren Reed Calbi of Merrill and Christina Marie Calbi of Westerly, R.I.; two nieces, Patricia Brannen Pearson and Priscilla Brannen Swallow; two nephews, John Brannen and Victor Brannen; several great-nieces and great-nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Victor Reed; and her second husband, Paul Lougee. Friends may call 1 p.m. until the time of service 2 p.m. Saturday at Dunn Funeral Home with the Rev. Marilyn Rohdin officiating. Interment will be at Dyer Brook Cemetery.
