TRENTON, Fla. – Michael Edward Wiley, 73, passed away Thursday, Aug. 5, 2010, at Malcom Randall Veterans Administration Medical Center, Gainesville, Fla. Mike was born Oct. 16, 1936, in Bangor, to Wilmot “Bunny” Wiley and Phyllis Stevens Wiley. He moved to Trenton, Fla., in 1981 from Hampden. Mike was an avid horseman, raising, training and showing quarter horses. He made his living as a blacksmith. Many people knew Mike from his years at Fairmount Market. Mike also served his country in the U.S. Navy after graduating from Bangor High School in 1954. He is survived by his wife, Maureen Wiley of Trenton, Fla.; two daughters, Lisa Kingsbury of Hampden and Veronica Rollings of Bridgeport, W.Va.; a son, Aaron Wiley of Trenton, Fla.; three sisters, Cynthia Bryce of Bangor, Suzanne Twilley of Newport, Pa., and Deborah Wiley of Glenburn; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
