MILLINOCKET – Jane Brown, 85, went to be with the Lord Sunday, Sept. 5, 2010. She was born May 11, 1925, in Grinnell, Iowa, the daughter of Retta (Norris) and Charles Swindal. Jane loved her flower garden and cooking. She will be remembered as a great homemaker, wife and loving mother. Jane leaves behind her loving husband of 61 years, Dana Brown of Millinocket; a son, Charles Brown and his longtime loving wife, Susan Brown, of East Millinocket; two grandchildren, Kyle Brown and family, Christina and Brooke, of Corinth and Trent Brown of Millinocket; and a brother-in-law, Hartley Brown of Arizona and his longtime partner, Beverly, of Texas. In addition to her father, Jane was predeceased by her mother, Retta Baker. Friends are invited to visit with the family 4-6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, at the family’s home, 24 Pine St., Millinocket.
