FORT KENT – Anita (Stewart) Grindle, 73, died peacefully Sept. 7, 2010, at a Fort Kent health care facility. Anita was born March 24, 1937, in Farmington, daughter of Donald and Eva Stewart. She worked as a schoolteacher for 40 years, her later years she worked for SAD 27 in Fort Kent. Anita is survived by her son, Nathan Grindle and his wife, Anna, of Holden, Mass.; and her granddaughter, Eleanor Grindle. She was predeceased by her husband, Roger Grindle, in 1981; and by one son, Richard Grindle, in 1985. Friends are invited to visit 1 p.m. until the time of service Sunday at Christ Congregational Church, Fort Kent, where funeral services will be held 2 p.m. with Pastor John Woodward officiating. A graveside service will be afterward at Christ Congregation Cemetery. Services are being handled by Daigle Funeral Home, 14 East Main St., Fort Kent.
