STEUBEN – On the evening of Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2010, the Lord welcomed Lillian Frances Colson to her permanent home in heaven. She was born Oct. 11, 1912, to Barney Beal and Geneva West of Milbridge. She was one of 13 children. She attended the Milbridge public school system and was employed as a factory worker. Lillian was also a member of American Legion Post, Cherryfield. Lillian and her husband, William, were married for 77 years. She will be sadly missed by her daughters and their families, Ethel Garnett and her husband, George, of Bradenton, Fla., and Elaine Dorr of Steuben; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, special friends and neighbors. Mrs. Colson was predeceased by her husband, William; parents, Barney and Geneva; and 12 brothers and sisters. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, at Steuben Union Church, Steuben, with Pastor Dale Chasse officiating. Interment will be at Steuben Village Cemetery, Steuben.
