WINN – Richard A. Fancy, 78, passed away Sept. 5, 2010, at his home. He was born Feb. 14, 1932, in Boston, the son of Burpee and Marmary Fancy. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force. He was employed at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard until his retirement. He enjoyed traveling. He is survived by two daughters, Joy Hosmer and Sue Brown, both of Arizona; a stepdaughter, Virginia LeBlond; a brother, Gerald Fancy of Washington state; four grandchildren, Dennis Dyer, Jami Holt, Missy Hosmer and Rachael Hosmer; and eight great-grandchildren. A graveside service with military honors will be held 2 p.m. Monday at South Winn Cemetery with members of the U.S. Air Force and the Rev. Myles Cyr officiating.
