VEAZIE – Dennis F. Duguay, 60, died Sept. 15, 2010, at Maine Veterans Hospital, Togus, after a long illness. He was born June 8, 1950, in Gardiner, son of Florian and Virginia (O’Ben) Duguay. Dennis was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Air Force. Surviving, in addition to his parents of Hermon, are his wife, Carolyn Duguay of Veazie; one son, Jeremy Duguay of Bangor; one stepdaughter, Michelle Burcume of Fort Collins, Colo.; one stepson, John Snyder of Greeley, Colo.; one sister, Lori and her husband, George Johnston, and their children, Matthew, Megan and Steven, all of Hermon; one brother, Donald and his wife, Debbie Duguay, and their sons, Eric and Andrew, all of Massachusetts; four stepgranchildren; many aunts and uncles; and special friend and neighbor, Mary Topel of Veazie. Dennis was a patient at Togus VA Hospital for more than three years, and the family thanks Dr. John Hussey and his staff for wonderful care he received, and Dr. Daley and the hospice team. Friends may call 9-11 a.m. Monday at Greenlawn Funeral Home, 300 State St., Bangor, where funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Burial with full military honors will be held 1:30 p.m. at Fairview Cemetery, Veazie. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the local Disabled American Veterans or Bangor Humane Society.
