BRUNSWICK – Jane Ann Walker, 62, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010, surrounded by her family at Mid Coast Hospital, Brunswick. Jane was born Dec. 30, 1947, in St. Francis, to Geraldine and Peter Walker. Jane worked for many years working with the mentally ill at Pineland Center and Freeport Town Square. Jane was a member of Gray Rescue for 18 years. During Jane’s time with Gray Rescue, she served as captain. Jane also most recently worked at Wal-Mart Supercenter, Brunswick. Survivors include her brother, Douglas Walker of Alexandria, Va.; her two sisters, Cora Hafford of Fort Fairfield and Ruth Walker of Bangor; her two nephews, Scott Hafford of Portland and Kyle Hafford of Freeport; and her niece, Lisa Garcelon of Brewer; her great-niece, Heather Hafford of Brunswick; and her great-nephew, Sean Hafford of Mars Hill. There will be a memorial service 4-7 p.m. Oct. 1 at Jane’s home, 12 Front St., Brunswick. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Jane’s name to Maine Humane Society.
