EASTPORT – Stella J. Young, 66, beloved mother, passed away peacefully Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, surrounded by her family at her home, after a long courageous battle with cancer. Stella married Richard A. Young Sr., Feb. 18, 1960, in Robbinston. They raised six children together. She enjoyed shopping, especially for clothes, makeup and furniture; she loved to decorate her home and keep things looking pretty. Stella was a very loving person; her happiest times were with her children, grandchildren and friends. Stella was predeceased be her husband, Richard Young, Sept. 7, 2009; her parents, Leo and Eva (Mitchell) Marsh; a brother, Harry Marsh; and a sister, Roseann Kowal. She is survived by six children, Roger Young, Richard Young Jr., both of Eastport, Bonny Lockhart and her husband, Clarence, whom she loved as a son, of Calais, Scott Young, Penny Young, and Jimmy White, all of Eastport; five grandchildren, Richard Young III, Roger Young Jr., Kyle Hall, Dalton Young and Scott Young, all of Eastport; a sister, Mary Landry of Alexander; a brother, Earl Marsh of Eastport; many nieces and nephews; and special friends, Calvin and Annaleigh Greenlaw, Becky Greenlaw, and Helen Coons. A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 25, at Perry Bible Fellowship, 1292 Route 1, Perry. Funeral arrangements are in the care of Mays Funeral Home, Calais and Eastport.
