EDDINGTON – Chester H. MacDonald, 88, died Oct. 8, 2010, at a Bangor hospital. He was born Nov. 10, 1921, in Oxbow, the son of George and Isa (Anderson) MacDonald. Chester served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a member of East Eddington Community Church for more than 50 years and Eddington Grange. Chester enjoyed the outdoors and especially hunting. He is survived by his loving wife, Clarice (Burke) MacDonald of Eddington; his son, Larry MacDonald of Presque Isle; two brothers, Albert MacDonald and his wife, Janis, of Ashland and Dean MacDonald of Oxbow; two sisters, Ada Lovley of Benton and Ann and her husband, Sidney Tripp, of Raymond; four grandchildren, Melissa and her husband, William Lord, Matthew MacDonald, Shane MacDonald and Christopher Michalka and his wife, Crystal; two great-grandsons, Nathan and Brian; and one great-granddaughter, Marissa. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by two brothers, James and Dana; and two sisters, Ruth McKean and Alice Rafford. Graveside services will be held next spring in Masardis.
