HOULTON – Maria Louise Putnam, 88, died Oct. 11, 2010, at a local health care facility. She was born Aug. 11, 1922, in Houlton, the daughter of Aaron A. and Marie (Hacker) Putnam. Marie Louise was a member of Houlton Unitarian Universalist Church. She first started working as an elementary school teacher, then as a secretary for Putnam Law Office and finally for Justice James P. Archibald. She is survived by her brother, John Putnam of Houlton. She was predeceased by her parents; bother, Aaron Hacker Putnam; and sister, Elizabeth Putnam.
