FORT FAIRFIELD – Peter C. Bugbee, 50, husband of Gisele E. (Fournier) Bugbee, passed away Sunday evening, Oct. 17, 2010, at a Presque Isle health care facility, after an extended illness. He was born May 27, 1960, in Springfield, Mass., the son of Walter E. Jr. and Janice M. (Cogswell) Bugbee. Peter was a graduate of Fort Fairfield High School, Class of 1978, and went on to serve his country with the U.S. Army from 1979 to 1990. He was married to Gisele E. Fournier, Aug. 19, 1979, and was a dedicated Red Sox fan. He will be remembered by his family as a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and brother. Mr. Bugbee was predeceased by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 31 years, Gisele E. Bugbee of Fort Fairfield; two sons, Sgt. Andrew P. Bugbee of Fort Fairfield and stationed in Afghanistan, and Ryan G. Bugbee and his wife, Morgan, of Presque Isle; one daughter, Kylie J. Bugbee of Fort Fairfield; one sister, Jeanne M. Bugbee of Fort Fairfield; four grandchildren, Jorja and Josiah Bugbee, both of Caribou, Abigale and Ashton Bugbee, both of Presque Isle; father and mother-in-law, Herman and Edwina Fournier or Perth-Andover, New Brunswick; numerous in-laws, nieces, nephews and extended family members. Friends may call 7-9 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, at Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main St., Fort Fairfield, where a funeral service will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, Oct. 22, with the Rev. Mark Babin officiating. Interment with military honors will take place after the funeral service at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. A time of continued fellowship with refreshments will be held at Fort Fairfield Veterans of Foreign Wars Paul Lockhart Post No. 6187, Presque Isle Street, Fort Fairfield, immediately after the interment service.
