MILBRIDGE – Robert Stanwood, 67, loving, dedicated father and grand-father, passed away peacefully Oct. 28, 2010, with his family by his side at home, after a short illness. He was born Jan. 31, 1943, in Milbridge, to Omar and Vivian Eldridge Stanwood. Robert served his country in the U.S. Navy as a small craft engineer, completing two tours of duty in Vietnam. He is survived by his loving wife of 36 years, Corinne “Queenie” Stanwood; daughters, Carol Ann Lisse and husband, Jeremy, of Milbridge, Kimberly Blakely and husband, Jay, of Columbia and Amber Conary and husband, Jon, of Milbridge; brothers, Richard Stanwood and Stillman Small; sisters, Mary Helen Snowdeal and Louise Morse; grandchildren, Ashton Blakeley, Robert Lisse and Kirsten Lisse; a great-grandchild, Kayden Conary; several nieces and nephews; a very special friend, Doug Kell; and special friends, Ralph and Sandra Spaulding. Robert was predeceased by his parents, Omar and Vivian. A memorial service celebrating Robert’s life will be held 5-8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, at Narraguagus Estates, Cherryfield, with a flag presentation 6 p.m. A service of Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes.
